I don't get it, is advertising different forum sites allowed on here? Because, I'm getting pm's / messages / comments to join a certain forum board. It is set out exactly like this one, well basically it looks the same.

Personally, I have no problem with the advertising but I also thought that the admins/moderators/owners of this website/forum wouldn't want people coming on advertising their site and stealing people from here.

From the rules and guidelines:

Posting, emailing or private messaging with the intent to advertise, spam is not permitted and will result in an instant ban.

I would count advertising forums in with this. It's frowned upon on every other board I've ever been to- so I can't see it being any different here. It is especially irritating because the individual who owns the forum in question has contributed nothing to this particular forum, yet he has spammed his own board on many member's profile pages. 'Stealing people' from here is exactly what he has been doing. It has certainly gotten way out of hand.
