Default Me, My Nephew and Gaming Technology

A few days ago.. I wanted to swim around in old memories and decided to play RE on playstation. My nephew was sitting with me, he's 8 years old. So as i started the game, he seemed to be enjoying the beginning video sequence, but as soon as the game started (inside the mansion), my nephew is like "EEEWW", i'm like "What's wrong with you?", he replies "It sucks! The graphics.. Look at it.. Its so polygon!", I'm said "What are you trying to say?" and he starts suggesting me to play RE5 on his PS3, and says "That's what you call a 3 dimensional game with the correct use of the word Graphics." I'm like O_O!

1994, when i first saw 3D gaming technology, i was truly amazed and went happily crazy to see such an entertainment. But this youngster made me all shut up. lmao, just think for a moment, that.. We opened our eyes and saw atari, comodor64 and etc.. These new gen kids open their eyes and see the 8th gen gaming tech. Imagine how the technology is progressing day by day... Just thought i could share this with you guys..

its not the graphics that count, but the quality of the game

yeah true.. but that little kid doesn't even know what quality means, lol.. try seeing it from his perspective..
for me, every game is good as long as its controls are responsive and good storyline.

Hell yeah i remembered how amazing i thought xbox looked with the jump from playing ps1 and nintendo. Now its considered terrible lol but graphics don't ever bother me as long as its fun.

I was talking to someone on xbox live about that last night. When i was a kid i would play toy trucks with my brothers or just throw rocks at the wall, sit down under a tree usually to have fun but now kids need to see graphics more intense then reality to get there thrills lol.Like my brother got a gameboy when he was a kid but he never played it, he said that i picked it up one day and just raced through a mario game he had on it so he gave it to me.I was about 4-5 so i guess my video gaming is pretty traditional its only until recently gaming is starting to bore me which i thought would never happen, i just want to play good singleplayer games now that i can play at my own pace.Even a match or 2 online is fun but after about 30 minutes its just a drag.

Xbox live i'm finding boring now more then half the people are just big nerds man haha, i deleted nearly all my friends last night its like i had 70 people or so and i only am truly friends or even talk to about 10 of them y'know.I still have you guys from this site(alecray,Steve,Echoey)but the rest are just mostly australians i know.

I loved this game (A Bug's Life), but the graphics were awful. I didn't really realise it at the time when I was about 10.

the reason nowadays kids yuck at the old graphics is because they haven't seen the "evolution of gaming technology", like we did.. lol
but i never bothered to care about the graphics at all.. Once i begin a game, im too busy with exploring, lol

OMG! I'm not sure it even qualify to be called a game, but it's the most horrible thing I've ever seen. It could have become a game but apparently they released it before it was half done.

We have an HDTV but i never use it even though it looks so much better, with the standard i find myself playing much better. It runs alot smoother on standard tvs where as on HD it must be worse because theres way more stuff going on especially wth gears of war 2.

What i don't understand is how people say graphics can be bad nowadays?Every game you get for PS3,xbox 360 or computer is going to look GOOD.But then you hear people going "Ohhh these Halo 3 graphics are sooo bad!I can see the jaggies, looks like a piece of ****"I don't understand how anyone can say that even on a standard tv the graphics are still top notch.

Yeah if i bought that game off someone i'd probably think they tampered with the game and take them to court.I don't think anyone in the world would have the nerve to sell it lol.

So many people want it, actually, because it's so infamous!! It's just so rare xD

A bit like Zelda: Faces of Evil, but rarer!
