Default Resident Evil 5:Alternative Edition

Okay so I just received news that Resident Evil 5 is getting some sort of make over and will be having new features and whatnot all on this brand new version called Resident Evil 5:Alternative Edition were basically it is Re5 with a few new features and finally a somewhat "Separate Ways" game play were you will be playing as Chris and Jill in the Oswell E Spencer Mansion that you infiltrate. Also some new game play would include being able to play "originally" meaning I guess no partners which to some new Resident Evil players it can be a lot harder at times or a lot easier. I don't have all the info yet but look this game up I think it will be multiplatformer but the new Ps3 Dual-shock 3 controller which is for motion sensory will be used for this game :]

Jun Takeuchi and Miho Suzuki on Biohazard 5 Alternative Edition:

Quote:
- Capcom came up with the name "Alternative Edition" because the term "Complete Edition" didn't seem appropriate when considering the adequacy of the original package.

- Capcom wanted to place the new content in the original release, but felt that the game was adequate already, and wanted to get it released soon.

- When the original game was released, players expressed their desire to play as Jill.

- Capcom originally proposed to make the new content downloadable, but there was too much content for that.

- The game begins at the entrance of the Spencer Mansion featured in the flashback of the original game, but fans of the original Biohazard will certainly love the new content.

- The Spencer mansions in Biohazard and Biohazard 5 are indeed separate.

- The game is intended for the PS3 Motion Controller. The series' combat system warranted the addition of the motion controls. The game uses the Dual Shock 3 to move the characters, while the Motion Controller is used for attacking and other functions.

- All the DLC content for the original release can be enjoyed on the Biohazard 5 Alternative Edition disc. Players can play with or against players of the original Biohazard 5.

- Owners of the original can transfer their game saves, trophies, etc. to Alternative Edition.

- Capcom is thinking about adding new costumes and game modes as well.

- The blood in the main hall of the mansion symbolizes that an incident has occurred, and gamers will understand as soon as they step in what that incident was.

- The original Biohazard was a game that did not have a cooperative aspect to it, though Biohazard 5 Alternative Edition will have it in spite of their similar environments.

- The behind-the-shoulder camera will be used, although if you noticed from the screenshots, there are no enemies present…

- When asked whether the enemies with be majinis or zombies, with regards to this chapter, Capcom is making preparations for the type of enemies to be included, especially since the setting is Spencer's mansion, with him actually living there.

- Capcom believes the game will have the types of rooms and locations fans are expecting.

- Takeuchi finished just Jill's episode in 1 hour and 40 minutes, but that is because he is an experienced player. New players should take around 2 hours the first time. Of course, this isn't the only new content being included…

- Capcom understands that there are varying tastes for the Biohazard series up to this point.

- Players who both played through Biohazard 5 and have yet to try it will enjoyed Alternative Edition. Capcom would like buyers of the new PS3 Slim to try the game out, as well.

- Capcom is preparing the Xbox 360 version in a different form, and asks gamers to wait for more information on that in the future.

It's great because we're going to play in a REmake-like mansion with the RE5 style. Also, with the same characters.

Hmm, the last shot in that last picture looks really familiar =p
I suppose this is the 'Director's Cut' that we've been talking about. Looks interesting, but he said that it was in development alongside the original RE 5? Sounds to me like they were holding out to make more money off the fans.

What I'm anticipating in this scenario is the type of enemy they'll dish out. Would it be the boring parasite-infected humans again, or will it be highly horrific ZOMBIES? Hopefully zombies.

I think they should just bring at least one piece of it as DLC. buying the whole game if you already have RE5 sounds pretty useless to me...

It was supposed to, but they are going to sell it seperately, as a new game, i think.

Nice point there.

But from the look of things, its as if there aren't any enemies at all, well, based on the single trailer that was released anyway. We might as well see some type of new B.O.W.

Or what might even happen is that they might not even put enemies in it just like boss fights or something, and just give you a buttload of ammo to use for a hard Wesker fight

I think there won't be many enemies, but there's gonna be LOTS of traps in the mansion. Maybe Spencer has some Animals/BOW's in the mansion and releases them to hunt Jull and Chris down (Spencer was killed just before Jill and Chris find Wesker). I hope there's gonna be a nice fight against Wesker.

Its really weird for a billionaire co-founder of Umbrella to have a mansion that has lots of deadly traps, *possibly* dangerous B.O.W.'s roaming about, and cranks. Spencer sure knows how to make his home as non-friendly as possible. lol

You're welcome.

Actually, a lot of killer-traps and spikes and whatnot would be an interesting and fresh addition to a game mostly characterized by lots of gunslinging. Although I know a lot of people want zombies and things, it would just seem sort of odd that Spencer would be letting them wander all over his house (at least, while he's home. lol.)
