Default best way to play RE4

What is you're favorite console for RE4 and why?

Personally, I like the wii, especially to play as HUNK on mercs mode.

Defenitely Wii. Even thought I don't own one. But I bet that the Wii is way more awesome, since it's like you're holding a weapon! And it's more moveable, and such... Well, but I own the PC version myself -^.^- I hope I'll get the Wii+ RE4 Wii version at my brithday *o*!

I like the Wii version of RE4 the most. Controlls are hard to learn at first (that is why I played with a GC controller on my first Wii playthrough of it.), but you get use to it after a little bit. Plus it is easier to aim with the Wii version. The laser sight is good to use but kinda of inaccurate due to it not showing up sometimes when aiming at certain ranges while on the Wii you have a reticule that does show where you are aiming.

Personally, I like the PS2 version. Don't ask why. It's just.... better for me.

I really like the gamecube controller but it sums up to the wii version. All the extra content is awesome only gay thing is the wii remote uses a fat cursor instead of a red dot sight.

I was wondering this, I only own the GC version but the wii version always had my interest. the major reason I never pick up the wii version is beacuse I'm lazy to unlock everything I did over agin on the Wii . If you have a hdtv I heard it's actually the best "visual" version.

I think only a few of us can answer this question. I don't think alot of us have tried RE4 on all platforms. I have only tried the PS2 version, so what am I gonna vote? I do like the PS2 version alot, but I can't know which version is the best without trying the otheer platforms.

- PC version has a very bad reputation.
- Gamecube version has better graphics.
- PS2 version has more content.
- Wii version is said to offer the best from both GC and PS2 version. But I doubt I'd like the controller and the aiming (seen it on YouTube).

Let's say that what I've heard is true, then it's gonna be a draw between PS2 and Wii.

Unfortunately it's Gamecube by default for me. I have (well, more like had) a PS2 as well but I'm not crazy about buying multiple versions of the same game.

just finished the wii version, and i already played the ps2 one, the wii version wins easily, better aiming, knifing is almost auto aim, but the dodge sequences are really painful for my wrist

I would probably prefer the wii version just because i know the gamecube had superior graphics to ps2, but i've only ever played it on ps3 ..er.ps2 version

How noticeable is the difference? I think Leon's hair has higher resolution on the Nintendo consoles, but I don't know if that is significant if you don't look too much at Leon...

Is the audio the same on all platforms?

Earlier I said it was a draw between PS2 and Wii, but I think I'm going to vote for the PS2 version now. I think I prefer the PS2 controls over the Wii graphics.

Kind of a bump but I've been playing the Wii version since Friday and I have to say, over the ps2 version it is superior. You'd be surprised how much better the game feels when you're actually aiming at limbs with pinpoint accuracy. If that aint your thing you can also play with the GC controller. I also noticed better lighting and stuff on the Wii version as well as Leon's hair for some weird reason :/ few extra cloth animiations that the ps3 didn't have as well, very minor things.

Psshhhh. I thought NGC would win. >:O The graphics are teh best on GC! But PS2 has more weapons and Seperate ways. The thing that ****ed me off the most of PS2 version was.. you can't shoot as much glass. Just joking. :P
