So a "completely original" RE game for the 3DS was announced. What's your thoughts?

Me to, I caught the last 10 minutes of the Nintendo conference and just read up on the rest. Nintendo made a great show.

BTW, RE isnt the only notable game coming to the 3DS - SSFIV, Star Fox 64, Metal Gear and Ocarina of Time are just some of the titles announced for it.

Gosh man I hate this, I bought a psp for Metal Gear solid,Parasite Eve and the announced "psp" game like 2 years ago. Damn you capcom now I'm only 66% satisfied with the psp. Looks like I'll have to go spend more money.

Some pictures released! It looks like yet another RE game set on a boat, apparently (Gaiden and Dead Aim were also set on ships)... seems Chris, Jill and HUNK are confirmed for this.

Not much is known at this time, however, it was announced at E3 2010, for the Nintendo 3DS. For now, the game is titled "Resident Evil Revelations.

Capcom's throwing its support behind Nintendo's new 3DS hardware right from the start with an all-new installment in the long-running survival horror series, Resident Evil.

Resident Evil: Revelations, as it's currently named, looks to bring the franchise's zombie-blasting madness to the high seas -- or else the cruise ship revealed in its initial batch of official screens is a red herring.

Exactly my thoughts. The proposed PSP game turns out to be a 3DS game and now I have to fork out another $300 to fulfill my desires of playing the game.

Parasite Eve 3 makes up for this though. 2 seconds of that displayed at E3 was all I needed.

Edit> And elaborating, the Metal Gear Solid being released is in fact Snake Eater.

Well Resident Evil Portable was announced by Sony last year. So the PSP may still be getting a RE game.
